Why this belongs in the FermiLabs story
The photovoltaic and battery project turned the laboratory's own energy infrastructure into an engineering experiment.
The portfolio describes a photovoltaic installation with per-panel optimisers and a 10 kWh battery-management system. Instead of treating installation as the end of the work, the team used Dewesoft acquisition systems to monitor twenty-four hours of operation.
The measurements were used to study efficiency, balancing, delivered power and thermal behaviour. The activity shows a recurring FermiLabs pattern: build useful infrastructure, instrument it, turn operation into a dataset and compare the real system with expectations.
